Funny Bunnies in waves
So team funny bunny drove out to indianna the state to compete in this huge stage race in a spur of the moment decisison. I am personally not the most fond of road racing, but I have a vast admiration for the stage race formatting.
It was a pretty big stage race with 6 stages, and we all entered into the cat 3/4 field. All the good 3's were racing up! Sweet! We donned our appropriate bunny apparrel, attached teh tails to the bikes, and hit the road.
Stage one was a prologue TT, and me with my joker fitness won the damn thing.
Stage two was an 80 miles road race on a 4 loop course. We made a break for three quarters of a lap on the third lap, but were brought in by the sprinters teams.
Stage three was a 60 lap circuit race. Funny bunny 3 attcked perfectly and shredded the field while we sat on, but the brutes at the front clawed him back in. Funny bunny 2 launched another seemless attack, and it took those same knuckleheads 12 laps to pull him in, but it came at a heavy price. I placed the killing blow when i attacked with 3 laps to go and stayed clear to make a 1:38 break by the finish.
Stage Four was a course similar to stage two so we just chille din and recovered with funny bunny 2 taking 6th in the final sprint.
Stage five was a 40k tt. Funny bunnies have funny bikes so we took the very funny podium sweep, almost: 2, 4, and 5th.
Stage 6 was a big mountain stage with a single loop 100 mile course. There were time bonuses on each climb. This funny bunny loves climbing and does it pretty well, so with the help of the generals hares, I took every single time bonus, with the ranks filling in the gaps with some of their own prizes. We ended up in a 5 man break that stayed away from the first of 12 climbs. That makes me happy.
Stage seven was a similar but shorter stage, and we took 2, 7, and 8th.
Stage 8 was a 20k TT. Funny bunnies represented. Funny bunny 2 testing the waters and letting me know where he blew up at. This rabbit beater took the big W by 1:23 with funny bunny 3 2:11 back in 5th and the other hare 2:15 back in 10th.
The awards ceremony was sweet. And luckily all those point somehow added up to a GC win and a top 5 for funny bunny 2. We should do this stage racing thing more often!

It's time!
Ladies and Gentlemen, next week is the first of TFB's targeted race season, Mingo #1. Rust Boy and myself will be there to suck wheels, work on our tans, and enjoy the food afterwords. Team FB member Zach is bailing for plans he made before Team Funny Bunny's humble beginnings. Weak.

Official TEAM FUNNY BUNNY Report
This weekend Team FB is splitting up to head off on different fronts to spread the good word of TFB.
Zach is hauling Sam out to the middle of the state to ride bikes at Michaux, while Alex is heading out to Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park to show off his Funny Bunny Stuntn' skills.
